ASSOCIATION
The Dongfang Cultural Association was founded in the fall of 2005 thanks to the will, joint effort and active participation of many scholars of oriental studies, experts of Far East visual arts and some important proponents of Neapolitan cultural life.
Dongfang (a word which means “East” in Chinese) was founded with the primary purpose of offering its own contribution--together with the institutions and organizations that support this event--to the cultural panorama of the city of Naples and of its university “L’Orientale,” through the rediscovery and honoring of the city and the university’s long-standing traditions of cultural exchange that have historically connected them with the Far East.
Members of the Dongfang Cultural Association: Gino Aveta, Alessandro Borri, Loredana Cozza, Lina Esposito, Maria Salvati, Giorgio Trentin and from China Li Zhenhua.
